Media transparency and accountability are among the cornerstones of a functioning democracy and a harmonious society.Who Owns the Media was a trilateral project organized by EduHub (Armenia), Global Media Registry (Germany), and the Georgian Institute for Security Policy (Georgia), and was implemented in both Armenia and Georgia.
One of our key partners was Hetq, one of Armenia’s leading media outlets. Through its team of researchers, Hetq presented its Media Ownership Monitor methodology, offering valuable insights into the Armenian media landscape.During the project, participants analyzed and reflected on structural risks and information gaps within national media systems, exchanged knowledge across borders, and built lasting strategies and tools to promote transparency and public awareness.
The project was supported by the German Federal Foreign Office as part of its #CivilSocietyCooperation program.
